| Lok Adalat settles 56 cases | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Oct 12: As many as 56 cases of different nature including criminal ,civil and traffic challans were settled at a Lok Adalat held at district court complex under the supervision of Principal District & Sessions Judge Udhampur A.K Sharma.
Lok Adalat comprised of three benches .Out of total three benches, first bench comprised of Principal district session judge A.K.Sharma and Additional session Judge Nighat Sultan, Second bench comprised of CJM Udhampur M.K Sharma and was assisted by Advocate Dinkar Gupta and Third bench comprised of Munsiff Anoop Sharma and was assisted by Advocate Bharat Bhushan Sharma .
Lok Adalat awarded amount of Rs. 33,80,000 to beneficiaries after settling 9 MACT cases on spot alongside resolving 13 criminal and 34 traffic challans registered under different Sections of the RPC . Beside others, Bar members and V.K Anand Divisional Manager National insurance company participated in Lok Adalat and played an active role in persuading parties for settlement. Similar Lok Adalat will be held on November 9 in future said Legal services authority in a hand out issued by them.
