JAMMU, Oct 12: Kanwar Iqbal from Govt. Medical College ( GMC ) Jammu, clinched the First Prize in Collage making competition on the second day of the “Display Your Talent” 2010-11 being organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu,. Shivali Rani from the Department of Environmental Sciences and Shekha Bhat from the Department of Chemistry, University of Jammu, bagged the Second and Third Prize, respectively.
The students prepared beautiful Collages, pasting old magazines, Colourful Poster papers, Kite papers and News Papers, on the Drawing Sheets.
The Certificates of Merit were awarded to Shallina Gupta form the Govt. Degree College, Kathua, Jasneet Kour from the Govt. Women College, Parade and Shafali Gupta from The Business School, University of Jammu .
The Adjudicators included Suman, Gupta, Manoj Chopra and Dr. (Prof.) M.L. Sharma
Topics for the Collage making competition were, COMMUNAL HARMONY, FESTIVAL AND WILD LIFE.
Other participants included Sukhwinder Kour, Manisha Sambyal, Monica Gill, Ritesh Katal, Manik Mahey, Akanksha Mahajan, Saba Noreen, Seema, Simmy Khanna, Urvshi Sharma, Kamaldeep Kour, Anjum Tahir, Ashiq Ali, Shreya Sharma, Heena Slathia, Rohit Sharma, Rajay Kumar, Upasana Dhillon, Poonam Sharma, Nitish , Sonali and Urvashi
The contest was followed by an illuminating talk on Collage Making by the Noted Artist Suman Gupta
Prof. N.K.Tripathi, Dean Students Welfare presided over this competition.
Among others Prof. J.S .Tara, Director, Ramnagar Campus Prof. Jasbir Singh, Co-Chairman, Campus Cultural Committee, Prof. Amit Pal Kour and Vinay Thusoo, PRO were also present.
