SRINAGAR, JULY 27, : Nearly eighteen people were injured in a grenade explosion at Sopore in North Kashmir on Thursday. According to the reports reaching here, unknown persons lobbed a grenade towards the army convoy at Sopore, however, grenade missed the intended target and exploded on the road, injuring nearly eighteen people. Injured were rushed to the Sub District Hospital, Sopore, from where critical injured persons were shifted to Srinagar for specialized treatment. Injured have been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad son of M. Sultan Khan, Jana wife of Akbar malla, Mumtaza daughter of Akbar malla of Sheikh-Pora Sopore, Haseena daughter of Abdul Rehim of Mehrajpora, Mubashir son of Ghulam Qadir, Nasir Ahmad Dar son of Qadir Dar, Mohammad Ramzan Zargar son of Abdul Qarim, Irfan Ahmad Kaloo son of Ghulam Qadir Kaloo, Hamida daughter of M. Subhan, Khursheed Aslam son of Sheikh Mohidin, Rashid Naski son of Mukhtar Ahmad, Danish Pervaiz son of Pervaiz Ahmad, Nasir, Ghulam Mohidin Zargar, Shabir Zargar, Syed Akhtar son of Mohammad syed, and Ashiq Hussain son of Farooq Ahmad
