| Army’s knowledge dose to Mendher youth | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Oct 13: Alongside guarding borders and fighting militancy, army has engaged young minds for constructive purpose in border district Poonch by giving them knowledge dose in the quiz competitions.
As per reports, Mendher Brigade of army organised series of quiz competitions in the area to engaged young minds and divert their attention towards competitive world.
The event was attended by student teams from Girls Higher Secondary School Mendhar, Boys Higher Secondary School Mendhar, Middle School Mendhar, Middle School Dharana, Pine Wood School Hamirpur and Pine Wood School Sabra.
The event was inaugurated on Oct 12 and included painting and drawing competitions, debate , music and dance competitions in both solo and group category for the students. Competitions were organized for both junior and senior level. The song and dance competitions organized for the young students up to Class V was received with great spirit and enthusiasm.
Staff from participating schools commented such an endeavor incorporating all schools of the locality was organized for the first time and would go a long way in channeling the youth to constructive and positive fields. The event made a valuable contribution in mitigating the effects of recent communal unrest and restoring positive atmosphere in the schools and young minds.
