Rajouri youth return from India tour | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Oct 13: Following 15 days educational tour, 21 students residing near Line of Control in Rajouri district returned back to their homes. Commander of Noeshera Brigade receved these children at Nowshera Garrison Ground. The tour was flagged off on September 28, 2010 and culminated today after a wonderful visit to coromandal coast to Trivandrum, Kanyakumari and Channai. During the tour, the participants spread the message of peae and tranquility and closely witnessed the vibrant history of India that these locations had to offer. This tour had their first halt at Trivandrum, interaction with RL Bhatia, Governor of Kerala, who hosted a tea party for the participants and interacted with them for over an hour. They visited Tourist Villa and Sangumgam Beach. The tour after exploring the divine scenic beauty at Trivandrum then proceeded to the next destination to Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of the India. Enroute to Kanyakumari visited Padmanabhapuram Palace, Triparappu Water Falls, Pechi ppara dam. At Kanyakumari, the students visited sunset point, Gandhi Mandapam and Amusement park. The adventurous experience of sea boating upto the peaceful environment of Vivekananda Rock and Thiruvalluvar Statue was appreciated by the participants. The children were taken to Channai where they interacted with Surjit Singh Barnala, Governor of Tamil nadu and visited Port, Spenser Plaza, Anna Planetarium, Fort St George, Marina Beach, Vandalur Zoo, Amusement park, Mahabalipuram, Golden Breach, Crocodile Park and Officers Training Academy. The successful completion of this course had resulted in fostered closer relationship between the locals and the army. It has also developed a deep sense of belonging to the nation amongst these children of remote areas.
