Cricket: Dogra Law College, Kishtwar win ties | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, October 14: Dogra Law College and Government Degree College Kishtwar won their respective matches to move into the next round of the ongoing inter-college cricket tournament at University of Jammu (JU) grounds here today. In the first match of the day, Kishtwar College defeated Law School of JU by 27 runs. Batting first, Kishtwar set a target of 164 runs for the loss of three wickets in allotted 20 overs, which, in reply, Law School could not reach the required total and bowled out for 137 runs in 18.3 overs. Rajnish Sharma was top scorer with 67-ball 74 runs while Kirti Bhushan and Sahil contributed 30 and 25 runs respectively. From Law School, Shahbaz and Achyut took one wicket each. Batting second, Law School bowled out for 137 runs in 18.3 overs. Rameez made highest 31 runs, followed by Samiullah and Farooq, who contributed 19 and 16 runs in their respective accounts. From Kishtwar College, Mohd Sallahudin bagged two wickets while Alyas and Sandeep Kumar shared apiece each. Meanwhile, in another match of the day, Dogra Law College registered nine runs win over Commerce College. Batting first after wining the toss, Dogra College set a target of 156 runs for the loss of eight wickets, which, in reply, Commerce College could not chase and lost all their wickets for 147 runs in 19.3 overs. Amit Sharma was top scorer from Commerce College with 57 runs while Tariq Mehboob claimed four wickets from Law College.
