Police to set up four more public schools:DGP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Oct 14: As part of the series of public interactions, Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda, today held a public darbar at Baramulla. Large number of people from North Kashmir participated. Addressing the participants, the DGP disclosed that the aim behind organising such darbars is to coordinate with the people and know their grievances and their prompt redressal, so that the gaps are filled. He said that every citizen should come forward to bridge the gap which has been created due to some abnormal situations. The DGP reiterated that police has always worked for the protection of people and their property and it is the moral responsibility of every citizens to share their hand with Police in maintaining peace and tranquility. The DGP announced setting-up of Police Public schools in Baramulla, Anantnag, Doda, and Rajouri in the first phase. DGP said that nearly eight thousand appointments were made in J&K Police during the year 2009 and further process of recruiting 800 constables is underway. The DGP also conducted a police darbar, in District Police lines Baramulla, where he stressed upon all the officers and men, to ensure exercising of utmost restraint, while dealing with the law and order situations. He appreciated the role played by the Police and CRPF in ensuring the maintenance of peace and public order, despite all odds. Additional Director General of Police( Armed/Law & Order), K. Rajendra, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, S.M.Sahai, Inspector General(Operations) CRPF, P. Mallana Goad, Deputy Inspector General of Police, North Kashmir Range, Muneer Khan, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Bashir Ahmad and other senior officers from civil and Police administration of North Kashmir Range were present on the occasion.
