| New building of YMP Children Home inaugurated | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 14: Youth Movement For Peace (YMP) inaugurated the new building of YMP’s Children Home – Sunhera Kal _ at Dogra Hall, Jammu. As many as 27 children affected from Leh flash flood are staying in this Home.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikas Sharma (Chairman, YMP) said, “Initially, we had adopted only 13 children but when we went to Leh to bring rest of the 8 children, the people of affected areas insisted us to take their children with us as they have no shelter and unable to provide good schooling. The people of Leh show their trust on YMP and give the responsibility of their children to us.”
The children is the age group of 4-14 yrs and out of these 27 children, 4 are girls and rest of 23 are boys.
Vikas Sharma said, “We’re trying to provide each and every possible facility to the children whether it is bedding, food, games, shopping, picnic or entertainment.”
By this time, a very close bond has developed between us and these children are become an integral part of YMP’s family.
Vikas Sharma along with his team expressed his heartiest thanks to the Press and Media for their cooperation.
Ranjana Sharma (Vice-Chairman, YMP), Rekha Sharma (General Secretary, YMP), Gagandeep Singh (Secretary), Sangeeta (Off. Adm.), Meenakshi Kour, Sachin and Neeraj were also present on the occasion.
