Medical camp held at Lolab

UDHAMPUR, Oct 14: In continuation of operation Sadhbhavna activities in Lolab Valley, a Medical Camp was organised at Government Boys Middle School, Duniwari in Lolab area of district Kupwara for the people of Lolab Valley by 28 Rashtriya Rifles under the aegis of HQ 8 Sector Rashtriya Rifles.
Aim of medical camp was to provide much needed medical assistance and care in the remote area of Lolab Valley. This camp also entailed distribution of free medicines. A total of 534 people were treated which including 331 male and 203 female patients. The specialist doctors, including lady doctors from both Army and civil administrations were present to render their services to the needy.
Lectures on various health related topics like AIDS awareness, family planning, immunization, mental health, hygiene and sanitation etc were delivered by experts, doctors and various social NGO’s.
