| JKSP forum condemn lathicharge on students | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 14: The activists of Jammu Kashmir Social peace forum (JKSPF) have strongly condemned the lathicharge by police on SC/ ST students of MAM college during peaceful demonstration outside the college demanding release of pending scholarship.
Addressing the JKSPF workers Jatinder Singh said students were protesting peacefully for the genuine demand, but were beaten up by the police of no fault of theirs, resulting injuries to dozen of students. He said college authorities are also not taking any action in this regard as good number of students till date have not received the scholarship.
Activists Sourav Kumar said that student from down trodden section of the society were facing many difficulties in coutinuing their studies, due to non payment of scholarship. He said if any type of difficulty faced by the students of Jammu Province, JKSPF is always with the students of J&K because there students are the future of our state and we have moral duty to see the problem faced by them. Present in the meeting were Harpreet Singh, Azgar Ali, Manooj Kumar, Vipan Bhagat, Sanjeev Kumar, Rattan lal, Dilbgh Singh, Rashid Ahmed, Sohan Kumar, Salim Choudhary, Manpreet Singh, Mohd Ali, Aslam and Neeraj etc.
