Ju’s Urdu deptt organises “meet the writer programme”

Jammu, Oct 14:- “Meet the writers programme was organised by the department of Urdfu ,Universuty of Jammu at prof Gian chand Jain hall today.
As per the press release today’s guest writer was noted urdu short story writer of the state , Sham Sunder Anand Lehar ,On the occasion Dr Mushtaq Safad of sahitya Academy was the chief guest ,while prof Qudoos Javed formed HOD Urdu University of Kashmir presided over the function.
Speaking on the occasion Lehar said urdu was his first love and has been wrinting in urdu language since long and his writings short stories and were published in number of journals of the sub continent . He said since at the very young age he had widely read up the writings of well known writers of the country ,Puran Chand and krishan Chander and as such tried to project the realities of life in his writings ,which include communal harmony patriotisms etc. He said writing in urdu language he feels satisfied . on the occasion he also presented a short story “Batwara” , During the programme he replied the questions of the udiance present on the occasion .
Earlier in the welcome address prof. Shohab Inayat Malik threw light on the works of Anand Lehar .He said he is not only a popular writer of Urdu language but also a noble human being having secular bent of mind . malik informed that the new collection of has short stories titled ”Batwara ” would be released by the department of Urdu, University of Jammu in the coming days . The proceedings of the program was conducted by Dr. Mohd. Reyaz Ahmed while Prof. M.A Wani presented a vote of thanks . Students ,scholars, faculty members and civil societyembers attended the “Meet the write Program”.
