Jammu region deprived of due employment opportunities: Sharma

Jammu, Oct 14: Jammu and Kashmir is integral part of India, efforts to dilute is must to opposed truth and nail said Ashok Sharma former Legislator, while addressing on day conference on “J&K scenario and role of people of Jammu region” organized by Jammu Bacha Andolan (JBA) on the occasion of its foundation day at New Plots here the other day.
Sharma while speaking on the occasion said that the youth of all the ten districts of Jammu region have been deprived of their due employment opportunities over the decades need redressal of their grievances by providing an Employment Package of 1.5 lac opportunities within and outside the state. They have been fighting for the unity, integrity and severity of the county should not be ignored at any cost. The demand being non un-realistic can be fulfilled by just providing one percent opportunities in central services falling under class III and class IV in central civil services, military and para-military forces.
He further added that the centre should not take 60 lakh people of Jammu region for guaranteed and ignored them in all walks of life, while expressing serious concern over the delay in rehabilitation and settlement cases of 1947, 1965, 1971 and west Pakistan refugee, inspite of the commitment and initiative of late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. He said people of Jammu division are not oppose to any positive step for redressed of the grievance of even those raising revolt against the country but that should not in any case be beyond the frame work of the Constitution of India and without taking the people of Jammu and Ladakh regions into confidence.
Those who presented their views and addressed the conference included J.S. Biloria, D.S. Jamwal, Mahesh Khajuria, Mahesh Sharma, Vishal Chopra, Kulbushan Khajiria, Dr. Subash Gupta and Satish.
Retd. Wing commander G.L. Sharma while addressing the conference said that JBA will complete its one lakh membership before 31st of March 2011 and will start taking up the cause of the people of Jammu region publically. He made an appeal to his appeal to the masses to join on one plate form to fight against discrimination injustice and corruption being faced by people of Jammu region.
