| Stolen vehicle seized, accused held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Oct 14: Udhampur Police seized a stolen vehicle and arrested the main accused being involved in stolen the Zen Car from Chandigarh in the first week of this month.
The accused has been identified as Shamim Ahmed son of Ghulam Hussain of Danue of district Kulgam of Kashmir valley.
Reports said that Police while conducting patrolling on Dhar Road at Battal seized one Maruti Zen Car bearing registration No 6203-CH04A which was reportedly stolen from the jurisdiction of PS Mani Majara ,Chandigarh on 06-10-2010 and case to this effect was registered at the concerned Police Station . During the course of investigation the accused person confessed his crime and the seized car has been handed over to the Police party of PS Mani Majara-Chandigarh on Supardnama by the order of competent Court.
