| Unidentified person sprinkle acid on a school girl in Srinagar | | |
Srinagar, October 30
A group of unidentified persons sprinkled acid on a class XII student in an attempt to set her ablaze and she was shifted to SMHS hospital Srinagar in a critical condition.
Details available indicate that 20 year old Tahira Shah D/O Javed Ahmed Shah R/O Shelton Rafiablad presently residing in Habib Colony in Paraypora locality on New Airport Road Srinagar was on her way to attend a tuition class at around 6.15 A.M, when a group of unidentified persons sprinkled acid on her in a lane adjacent to S.S.M College lane. The ill fated girl received multiple burn injuries on her fingers and arms.
The locals shifted her to nearby Sadder Police Station where from she was rushed to SMHS hospital Srinagar. The acid, according to doctors, has been sprinkled on the girl from a distant place as a result of which she received multiple burn injuries on her fingers and arms. The girl has also received multiple burn injuries on her other body parts as well. The girl continues to be unconscious and is yet to recover from the shock. Police registered a preliminary report in this connection and started investigating the matter.
