| JKNTU front organizing state level conference | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 15: The Jammu and Kashmir National trade union front (JKNTU) in a meeting the chairmanship of its state president Mohd. Gafoor Dar make preparation for state level conference of the front for which allotment of delegates and fixation of delegates fees including the tentative date of conference were finalized.
Prominent leader of the JKNTUF who participated the meeting were Ashok Badyal, Babu Hussain Malik, SD Wani, Aditya Khajuria, Subash Barru, Sewa Ram Rathore, Ab. Rashid Malik, Niaz Choudhary, Kewal Krishan, Raj Singh, Piran Ditta, Munir Hussain Sadiq Choudhary, She Dev Singh, Mukhtyar Singh and Bharat Bhushan Bhatti decided to hold state level conference in the last week of November. Meanwhile next meeting of the state working committee has been fixed on 13 November to give the final touch to the issue to be taken up in the proposed fourth state level conference of Jammu and Kashmir National trade union front viz. payment of arrears of 6th pay commission, pay anomalies of various categories, enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years, regularization of adhoc, contractual, consolidated, Ret teachers, and daily rated workers engaged after 1994.
While addressing the session Dar urged upon the rank and file of the front throughout the state to conduct membership drive, complete delegate lists and delegate fees by 13 November. So that a historic conference could be organized will in time.
