VREA demands release of pay commission arrears

JAMMU, Oct 15: All Jammu and Kashmir SRTC Volunteer Retirement Employees Association (VREA) highlight their problems and demanded give pending 6th pay commission to the State government here today.
Addressing the media persons, President of VRES Dev Raj Bali said that we have taken the Voluntary Retirement Schemes (VRS) for the employees of uniable state public undertaking (PSU) RS golden handshake under the vide reference Cabinet Decision dated June 11, 2007 under the assurance given by the government.
He further said that the high power committee under Chairmanship of BR Kundal he assured to us, the dues VRS given within 60 days but government given VRS only 50 percent.
He further demanded that their 50 % due of VRS and Cost of living Allowance (COLA) due 2006 should be paid soon.
