Charak conducts extensive tour of Langate

Kupwara, October 30
Minister for Roads and Buildings Mr. Gulchian Singh Charak has said that coalition government is committed to bring socio-economic development of all the three regions of the state and massive development schemes have been launched for the purpose across the state.
The Minister was speaking at various places during his tour to Langate constituency. Mr. Charak said that all the area of the state would be connected with roads and other basic amenities like drinking water, electricity, schools would be provided.
The Minister asked the engineers to use standard construction material and complete all the works within time frame and asked people to co-operate with the concerned department.
The Minister visited various villages which include Ganpora, Lakripora, Haril Manasbal, Sahipora, Shanu, Khajpora and Pajarpora.
The Minister was informed that 55 km road length has been constructed at an expenditure of 27 crore under various centrally, state and district sector schemes in the area.
The Minister was also informed that three bridges at Parnia, Younis-Wahipora and Kultah are being constructed at the cost of Rs. 3.18 crore besides Lalbug Bridge is being constructed at the cost of Rs. 1.05 crore.
The Kralgund-Ushpora road is being constructed at the cost of Rs. 14 crore and work is in progress. The MLC Abdul Gani Vakil said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad, state is progressing in every sphere and asked the people to strengthen the hands of Mr. Azad so that the dream of “:Khushal Kahsmir” is realized.
MLA Langate Mr. Sharief-ud-Din Shariq also apprised the Minister of various problems of the areas and asked for their speedy redressal.
The Minister assured the various deputations which called on him that all genuine demands would be fulfilled within a fixed time frame.crore has been disbursed among these helpers and workers by September ending. Rs. 22 lakh has been spent on non-nutritional expenses as well, the meeting was told.
Haji Nissar stressed the officers and officials of the department present in the meeting to make it imperative that the benefits of various programmes and schemes of the department reach to the deserving people. He said that ensuring welfare of the people who need it, is the most righteous and noble act.
The Minister expressed satisfaction with the achievements of the department during the year and insisted upon the officers of the department to ensure quick redressal of the cases pending in the court so that the potential benefit does not get blocked.
Among others, Director Social Welfare Mrs. Dilshada Khan, Deputy Director Social Welfare Mr. Bashir Ahmad Bhat and other officers attended the meeting.
