Rayat Bahra to broad base operations in educationally potential J&K | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, October 16: There is great potential among the students of Jammu and Kashmir that needs to be qualitatively designed through perfect education. This was stated by G S Bahra, chairman of the Rayat-Bahra group of institutes while addressing a press conference on Saturday. Bahra said that Jammu and Kashmir needs to open up to the outside entrepreneur who are interested in expanding their educational promotions which may help a lot for the students of Jammu and Kashmir. “ A state cannot grow on its own until it does not acquires and imbibes the intra technology know-how with other states and education being the best medium can bridge the gaps ands widen more avenues for growth and development of the students as well as the state,” said G S Bahra. He further said that since Rayat Bahra has made its way into major area of Northern India, its focus still remains Jammu and Kashmir as it finds the state highly potential in producing quality leaders in all the diverse fields. “We would be going into the process of dialogue with the state administration for a consensus to open a campus of the Institute in Jammu so that the potential students who have to move out to Punjab and Himachal for education may receive it at their door steps and at some cheap rates,” said the chairman. Earlier while presenting the expansion details of the group , Bahra informed that the operations started in 2001 in Ropar that has grown manifold and spread into 34 colleges including engineering, dental sciences, nursing, pharmacy, management courses, BCA, law and is also providing quality education at Masters level in engineering and pharmacy. While talking about the Jammu and Kashmir, Bahra said that University campus is ideally suited for the students of Jammu and Kashmir especially students of Kashmir valley and hilly areas of Jammu region as it has same terrain and geographical conditions to suit the students of trhe state. Keshav Sarma, campus director Mohali earlier gave a brief introduction of the various achievements of Rayat Bahra. Ajaat Jamwal, coordinator head for Jammu and Kashmir for Rayat Bahra presented the vote of thanks.
