“Create conducive atmosphere for academics” | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 16: Chairman, Ellaquai Dehati Bank (EDB) A.K.Razdan today asked teachers that while nurturing the students to achieve new highs in science, technology and modern studies, equal attention is paid to outdoor activities like sports, travel, etc which enables physical and mental development of the child. A.K.Razdan was the chief guest in the inaugural function of Minerva School of Learning, a unit of Coventry Scholars at Dharmal Muthi Jammu. Dr Agnishaker and P.K.Joseph Dhar were also present on the occasion. While addressing the inaugural function, Razdan said that we have to create conducive atmosphere which ensures academic as well as extra-curricular excellence among the students. "We have to strike a balance in a way that curricular and extra-curricular activities go hand-in-hand and young children enjoy their childhood while studying", he added. He congratulated the students, staff and the parents and assured them all help from Bank. On the occasion, Razdan also presented a gift voucher of Rs 5000. Earlier, Director of Minerva School Sanjay Tickoo presented a resume of the academic and co-curricular activities initiated by the school. He said that the school provides cost effective education, with a convenient location. Sanjay said that school is guided by expertise of Coventry scholars and is growing at a healthy rate of 500 percent per annum. Dr. Agnishekhar of Panun Kashmir, in his speech said that knowledge is a great power and these children are the ambassadors who have transported us to our roots. Vote of thanks was presented by Director of the School Shishu Bushan while Monica compared the programme .The function was also attended by Rajesh Dhar and Man Mohan, Directors of the institution.
