| CM’s statement brainchild of New Delhi | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 16: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s statement over accession is brain child of centre government.
In a statement issued here today, state spokesperson Ramesh Arora today said that both Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Union minister of external affairs S.M. Krishna have endorsed the same. He said that both leaders should know that facts cannot be changed by putting a challenge to the same.
He stressed that BJP will not tolerate any type of compromise over the accession of state with India. Arora said that there were 562 Princely states out of which 7 went to Pakistan 555 including Jammu and Kashmir have consented to merger with Bharat. He stressed that Omar Abdullah should understand that accession was not followed by merger.
Accession itself include merger in its definition.
Arora warned stated government not to adopt such approach which would endanger the unity of state with rest of the country. He further said that come what may, we will fight all those forces that will put question mark over the accession. Arora reiterated that autonomy will lead to self rule and same should be rejected.
