Homatamak Yajna to commence from Oct 17 | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 16: Vedic Homatamak Yajna (VHY), a religious recital is going to commence from October 17 at Ram Mandir, opposite CRPF, Bantalab. Addressing media persons here today, Sri Sri Vijay Krishan Parashar, Adhdyaksha of the event revealed that the Yajna will continue for nine days form October 17 to October 25 from 8 am onwards daily. On the culmination of the grand event on October 25, Purnauhti will be performed, followed by the Bhandara. Giving details about the event, he said that on the inaugural of the occasion mandatory rituals like Panchang Pujan, Kalash Yatra and Mandap Pravesh will be performed. On October 18, Mandap Pujan will be organised form 8 am to 12 noon and discourses based on Bhagvata will be delivered afterwards. The similar routine will be followed for rest of the days, he added. He further said that to organise such religious events has now become the need of hour, as uproar in the environment has emerged as a great threat to the peace in contemporary era. Sri Parashar appealed masses to attend the event in number and help the organizers to make the occasion, a successful one. Attending such events help the masses to gain positive spiritual energies, thereby countering the negative one, he stressed.
