Krishna’s statement cover-up operation: BJP | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 16: Raising questions over assertion of the Indian foreign Minister S.M. Krishna that there was nothing objectionable in the speech of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the leader of the BJP Legislators Party Chaman Lal Gupta termed it as “cover-up operation” to justify continuance of Congress-National Conference coalition of the state even after this pernicious outburst. Gupta said that the Union Minister himself sounds confusing when he confesses that Jammu and Kashmir had acceded to Indian union like other princely states including one that of Mysore. Referring to the October 6 statement of the Chief Minister, BJP leader alleged that Omar’s utterances were loaded with many overtones especially the disputing of the finality of the accession with the Indian Union. Gupta said as far as Pakistan is concerned, it is not a stakeholder but her position is that of an aggressor who is illegally occupying large areas of this Indian state. With regard to people of Jammu and Kashmir, Gupta pointed out that they have ratified the finality of the accession by taking part in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. Moreover, if there is any confusion that is in the minds of power crazy Congress and in the outlook of the National Conference, which is genetically a communal and Kashmir based regional outfit, he asserted. Gupta said that the leaders of the Hurriyat Conference and some other separatists are operating at the tunes of their masters operating from across the border.
