10/16/2010 9:23:13 PM
Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Oct 16: Life returned to normal as authorities lifted curfew from the entire Kashmir valley today.
However, restrictions under section 144 CrPC will remain imposed in major towns and tehsil headquarters as a precautionary measure. Shops and business establishments were open and traffic was plying on all routes normally.
Reports of normal activities had also been received from other district and tehsil headquarters in north, central and south Kashmir. No untoward incident had been reported from any part of the Valley, a police spokesman said. The breakaway Hurriyat Conference had also asked people to resume normal activities.
