Hundreds throng to Davika to immerse sakh

EARLY TIMES REPORT
Udhampur, Oct 16: Hundreds of women from different parts of Udhampur today throng to Scared Davika river Ghats to immerse Sakh on the eve of Ramnavmi festival .
After observing fast upto nine days during Navratras and performing daily puja to sakh hundreds of womens today visited Davika Ghatas and immersed Sakh with traditional way after performing final puja at Ghat amidst hundreds of women’s.
Majority of Women today started visiting Dvika shrine from early in the morning and also perform of girls ( Kanchaks ) by offering them gifts and sweet Halwa on the occasion and later immersed Sakh in river .
According to Sarita Devi Puja of SakhI is performed through out nine days during Navratras every year and alter it is being immersed on nineth day after performing puja of Kanchaks . Meanwhile administration has made security arrangements at shrine to avoid any untoward incident
