Give local youth priority in employment: UYWA | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 17: A meeting of the Unemployed Youth Welfare Association,Tehsil,Ramban was held at Nshri Batote under the chairmanship of its President ,Mohd.Rafiq Wani today. In the meeting of its largely attended members, the working committee passed a resolution wherein it was urged upon the state government and particularly the concerned agencies constructing the Nashri-Chenani tunnel for Jammu-Srinagar four lane road at Nashri,Batote to give priority in employment to the skilled or unskilled and especially the educated unemployed youth of Ramban tehsil particularly of Batote and adjoining villages. Speaking in the meeting, Rafiq said that in the wake of the proposed tunnel the shopkeepers,traders,contractors and other petty daily wagers would be rendered jobless so to give them some livelihood the locals should be taken care of during the recruitment. He informed that till now about 1500 unemployed youths have submitted their bio-data alongwith their certificates with this Association. General secretary of the Association ,Muti-Ur-Rasool said that in 11 surrounding panchayats of Batote sub-committees have so far been elected and rest 14 more would formed soon. Hukum Chand Bhagat was inducted into the working committee of the Association. The prominent persons who spoke on the occasion included Master Anayatullah Salaria, Sain Mohd.Malik,Babar Malik,vice president Farooq Hussain Mir, Chood Chand and Ram Ditta.
