Nominations invited for prestigious college lecturers’ award | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 17: Nominations are invited for the prestigious Master Karam Chand Best Teacher Award from college lecturers across the state of Jammu & Kashmir. According to a press release of the Karam Vidya Education Trust (Regd) that has been identifying and honouring the efficient college teachers for the last five consecutive years, the College teachers from all colleges of the state are called upon to file in their nominations for the final selection of the awards for current year positively by Novermber 15,2010. These awards are being conferred in the cherished memory of Master Karam Chand Ji, the first awarded teacher of the State of Jammu and Kashmir. Giving details, the Trustee Nutan Kumar Resutra said that these nominations can be either sent by post to the registered office of the Trust or they can be logged on to the official website of the Trust www.masterkaramchandawards.org . He further said that earlier it was mandatory that the nominations be recommended by the concerned college principal only, but now they can be sent without such recommendations and shall be eligible for being considered for the prestigious award. The basic condition for being eligible is that the nominee should have rendered at least ten years service in the higher education department; the weight age being given to the visionary, innovative, student-society acclaimed, carrying creditable publications, having performed effective organizational assignments, attended various courses/seminars/conferences/workshops and with a wide thinking horizon teacher.
