Dialogue necessary for peace making in J&K: CPI (M) | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 17: Dialogue within the state between different regions, sub-regions, ethnic groups and communities is key for making peace-process result oriented. This was stated by state secretary of CPI (M) M.Y.Tarigami while addressing a largely attended one day convention of CPI(M) workers her today. The convention was presided over by Regional Secretary, Comrade Sham Prasad Kesar. Resolutions regarding alarming unemployment, unabated price rise, corrupt practices and non-availability of fertilizers during peak farming seasons were moved by Comrades Om Prakash, Kishsore Kumar, Sohan Lal and Ramesh Chand and adopted unanimously in the convention. While addressing the convention, M.Y.Tarigami said that the people of all the regions and communities have undergone long period of sufferings. He said that it remains elementary duty of every citizen to shoulder responsibilities and make positive contributions for finding amicable answers to challenges our state faces. “Unfortunately some of the political groups are not behaving in a very responsible manner, instead they are more concerned about their partisan interests and trying to provoke sectarian passion to divide the people on communal lines”, he elaborated. He cautioned that we must realize that the present unrest is not to be ignored as it has wider political implications for the future of our state. He stressed that in no way separation from each-other can help us in finding out remedies of our long pending problems. “Even if one part of the body gets injured the pain is felt by the whole body. Whatever the circumstances and whatever the nature of the problems our future lies in mutual trust and common resolve. No formula whatsoever is worth consideration if it suggests dividing us on communal and regional lines,” he said. Regional secretary of CPI (M) Sham Prasad Kesar urged party workers to fight unitedly nefarious designs of parochial and sectarian forces who are hell-bent to divide the state on communal basis. Comrade Javaid Zargar also addressed the convention.
