KP youth march to valley for jobs | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 17: Several hundred unemployed Kashmiri pandit youth under the banner of Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) on Sunday kick started their Kashmir chalo march to protest against step-motherly treatment accorded to them by National Conference-Congress coalition government. Holding placards and raising slogans against wrong policies of state government, the Kashmiri pandit youth were demanding issuing of government orders in favour of youth who have been given jobs as per the terms and conditions of the special package meant for exiled pandit community. Four months ago at least 3000 Kashmiri pandits were given jobs by the state government as per the announcement made by the Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh but till date they have not received any order or joining letter. Prevailing situation in the Kashmir valley resulted in long delays and apprehensions raised by the certain quarters that time is not ripe for the Kashmiri pandits to travel to Kashmir to join their duties. President of the YAIKS RK Bhat leading the protest march which started from one of the migrant camps in Jammu said that it is strange our chief minister rushes to Delhi to bring package for the unemployed youth in Kashmir valley but more than 3000 Kashmir pandits despite receiving jobs are yet to receive their joining letter.
