Water first necessity of life: Bhalla | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 17: water is the first necessity of life and the coalition government is committed to provide adequate drinking water facilities to the people of the state at their doorsteps stated Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla while inaugurating the work of laying of fresh water pipes at Govind Nagar Digana. He said that number of projects has been started in the state to cater the need of regular water supply. Referring to the development of winter capital, he said Jammu city is on the course of fast track development as several projects under various sectors have been taken up here. He said that the days are not far away when Jammu will be counted among the most developed cities of the country. He said Jammu which enjoys the distinction of being the nerve centre of tourism and other trades is being developed to showcase it as a major attraction for the tourists entering the state. Listing various projects in the city, he said besides, upgrading the civic amenities within and its peripheries, some it would soon have some distinguishing tourism attraction places, like Dogra Heritage Complex at Royal Complex Mubark Mandi, a scintillating lake down the stream old Tawi Bridge and a rope way project connecting twin places of historical importance of Mubarak Mandi Royal complex and famous Bahu fort across the river Tawi. Earlier, the Minister paid obeisance at Vishwakaram Mandir Bagwati Nagar. He also interacted with the people who had come to participate in the special prayers organized to mark the Dussehra celebrations. The Minister participated in the special prayers and prayed for the peace, prosperity and communal harmony in the state.
