Farooq sticks to his political tagline on 'integral part of India...'! | | | Early times report Jammu, Oct 17: The former Chief Minister of J&K and Union Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah known for his political rhetoric on Pakistan bashing has said it again. …. "Pakistan must stop aiding and abetting terrorism in Kashmir Valley….. Kashmir is an integral part of India and it shall remain so for ever….". This is the political tagline senior Abdullah has been toeing for years now and nothing is new in the overtures he made while speaking to media at a function in Pune today. The Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, whose political orientation has changed ever since he shifted to Delhi has been often seen and heard reiterating this statement at any place his views are sought are asked about Kashmir. This has in fact become his 'tagline' on Kashmir , too known and established to be mentioned without even asking. The interesting fact remains Dr Abdullah has not changed his tagline in the changed political climes of Kashmir, not even in the backdrop of his Son Omar Abdullah's contrasting assertions on 'Incomplete Accession' of Kashmir with India. Young Chief Minister Omar Abdullah may be truly so deriving pride from the fact he is candid on every turf, on politics as well where this quality is fatal, but the fact also remains his father, known for his 'make believe' political overtures coupled with his typical style of presenting opinions and views, too is straight and forthright, in so far as his assertion on Kashmir as 'integral part of India' is concerned, his Pak bashing jargons also having remained unchanged and undiluted ever since the country started trouble in J&K . Farooq used to curse Pakistan in harshest words as Chief Minister of J&K and says in similar tone and tenor , with intensity (that goes with Indian state's anxiety, worry, anger etc towards Pakistan for its continued commitment on training terror outfits for carryingout attacks in Kashmir and other parts of India….). So in that sense Farooq is also candid in his political approach on a complex and complicated issue called Kashmir. The difference however remains that while, in his own words suffers for being 'candid' on everything he says, his father Dr Farooq Abdullah only 'consolidates' his political strength while being 'straight and candid…", particularly when he touches upon the Kashmir issue and terms it as integral part of India. It is for sure here that 'political acumen and experience' on presenting views, with perfect sense of 'air and timing' matters between the two. It goes without saying that father represents Centre at present and son Omar is heading the J&K as the chief Minister. The moot question now remains that even in the face of contrasting views against the fast changing or changed with recent turbulence in Kashmir, who off the two Abdullah's is going to emerge 'successful' if not a 'winner' in terms of sticking to political wicket of Kashmir politics for long….? The senior Abdullah who still warns Pakistan loud and clear terms not to cross their limits and stop abetting terror, maintaining the tagline of integral part of India or the junior Abdullah who is fighting and striving hard to address his political constituency with sharp contrasting views….!
