| Samooh holds one-day theater fest | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Oct 18: Samooh Theatre organized one day theatre festival here today at K.L.Sehgal Hall. 4 plays including two solo performances of the children namely, Ek
Kahani Yeh Bhi and Jab Cinema Ne Bolna Seekha were also presented.
On the occasion, Ratan Lal Gupta provincial president National Conference was the chief guest whereas Sarfarz Nawaz, from Jan College of Education and Suresh Sharma, chairman SRP High School Kot Bhalwal shared the presidium.
Earlier, Sudhir Mahajan welcomed the guests and highlighted the motive behind these performances. He said that theatre is not an art and instrument only for the social change but it develops the personality of the children and play a great role in their academics.
Besides solo performances the play “Shanivar 2 Baje” was performed on the occasion that depicted the frustration and restlessness of man and women.
The play “Sanskar Chaya” was presented by the students of Trikuta College of Education which was about the Dogra marriage ritual, and was choreographed by Rohit Sharma and directed by Ravinder Sharma.
The artists who participated include Anmol, Munish Gaurav Gouri, Arti Sharma, Hari Slathia Kamini,Shefali,Gunjan,Mamta, Gazala and Neha.
