Prominent citizens, NGO’s lament slow widening of Dhar road

Udhampur, Oct 18: Prominent citizens and local Ngos ‘s has shown deep concern over the snail pace of work going on for widening of Dhar road from Domail to Slathia chowk and have demanded immediate completion of work .
The citizens held meeting under the chairmanship of Parvesh Kumar vice president SRCO NGO. He said that due to slow pace of work, local residents and business community running there business on both side of roads are facing lots
of hardships besides the health hazards due to dust pollution . Speaking on the occasion Anil Paba social worker who has already filled PIL regarding Davika pollution in HC said that it is quite amazing that more than two months has passed but administration has
failed to widen less than half kilometer road .
He added that tall claim of administration on the name of development seems exposed on ground. Speakers also alleged that non coordination of BSNL , PHE ,PDD and
beacon is causing delay in construction of road due to which general masses are facing problem and administration is mute spectator . NGOs demanded that work should be done in double shift and completed in stipulated time period so that public can get relief.
Others who were present in meeting were Vikas Padha , Rakesh Padha , Raghav Sharma , Govind Ram , Sat Paul , Sarita Devi ,Poonam Bakshi , Seema Parihar and Reema Arora from Indian Democratic Human Rights Organisation NGO
