| Prof. Hamal gets warm reception at BGSBU Campus | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 18: Prof I. A. Hamal received a warm reception on his arrival at the BGSBU campus after taking over as its Vice Chancellor, here today.
Before reaching the campus, Prof. Hamal visited the holy shrine of Hazrat Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah, a great sufi saint after whom the University has been named. During his visit to the shrine at Shahdra
Sharief, Prof. Hamal paid his respects and tribute to the revered saint.
On his arrival at the campus, student representatives from various departments and faculty garlanded him at the University gate. He was later on escorted to his office by Registrar M. Rashid Chowdhary along
with some respectable citizens from the Rajouri town where he was received by Deans of various schools of studies, heads of various academic departments and senior officers and ministerial staff.
Later interacting with the faculty, officers, citizens and media in the meeting hall of VC’s secretariat ,Prof. Hamal highlighted the exemplary leadership provided by the founder vice chancellor Masud A. Choudhary in the making of this institution.
Earlier Registrar Rashid Chowdhary, Dean Academic Affairs Prof. A.K. Koul formally welcomed Prof. Hamal before his first interaction and assured the Vice Chancellor of their whole hearted support in the
development of this institution. |
