| Handicrafts records Rs 7 lakh sale at 10-day exhibition-cum-sale | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATRA, Oct 18: The Department of Handicrafts, Jammu recorded a sale of Rs 7 lakh during its 10-day handicrafts sale-cum-exhibition held from October 8 to 17, at holy town Katra during Navratra festival.
Inaugurated by District Development Commissioner, Reasi, P K Pole, the exhibition was conducted by Joint Directorate Handicrafts, Jammu.
During the exhibition, the department arranged 22 stalls wherein the handicrafts products of industrial cooperative societies of both Jammu and Kashmir division were on display and sale. Besides, the products made in the handicrafts training centre’s of Jammu division were also exhibited during the programme.
The visitors appreciated the Department for organizing such Exhibition-cum-Sale which will give big fillip to the traditional handicrafts of the state.
