| Bovine smuggling foiled, 3 held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 18: Police arrested two persons and driver of the vehicle who were being involved to smuggle heads of bovine in a truck bearing registration No.9076/HR46A last night.
Reports said that, Udhampur Police while conducting surprise checking at Jakhani on NHW-1A intercepted the said vehicle and during search of the vehicle 12 (twelve) bovine were seized.
The bovine smugglers identified as Shan Mohd son of Bashir Mohd of Krimchi tehsil Udhampur, Mahi son of Yousif Din of Charri Darya tehsil Akhnoor and driver of the vehicle Lalit Kumar alias Bablu son of Mehak Singh of village Rathora tehsil Bhagpat district Shaproli (UP) were booked under section 188 RPC. Case to this effect stands registered at PS Udhmapur. |
