Soz refutes ‘remarks’ in news report | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Oct 18: J&K Pradesh Congress Committee president Prof Saif-u-Din Soz has dismissed as baseless a news report published in a section of media in which he has been quoted as having criticized Omar Abdullah led coalition government in the state. “This report is not based on what actually I said in an interview to a news channel…….my views have been misinterpreted and statements on certain issues have been presented in a distorted version”, Prof Soz said while refuting what has appeared in the newspapers. The PCC Chief while dispelling the remarks as having shown his views on functioning of coalition government today stated that he never made any critical observations nor blamed the Omar led government for present crisis. “If at all there are any doubts in any quarter, particularly in the media as tow hat I exactly said, it can be made clear in the recording of the interview with X News channel. It may be mentioned that in the reports it has been mentioned that PCC has blamed chief minister Omar Abdullah’s flawed governance for the present political crisis in Kashmir and endorsed the view expressed by the union cabinet’s committee on security that “governance deficit” along with “trust deficit” had worsened the ground situation. These remarks have however, been out rightly refuted by the senior Congress leader.
