44 civilians exchange sides across LoC

Jammu, Oct, 19: As many as 44 people exchanged sides in a weekly Poonch-Rawlakote bus service through Chakkan-da-Bagh on Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources said 14 people crossed over to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) including eight fresh visitors from Rajouri and Poonch districts of Indian side.
''Thirty people comprising 21 fresh PoK residents and nine Indian citizens reached Poonch from PoK when the gates were open yesterday,'' official sources here today said.
Weekly peace bus service was started as a part of Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) initiated between India and Pakistan.
