| Inter house Kabbadi competition held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua,Oct 19: Inter house Kabbadi competition was held in Govt Hr. Sec School (Boys) Kathua. The final match was played between Ganga House and Yamuna House.
Rajinder Singh Bubby, president Distt Kabbadi Association and ex chairman of Municipal Committee Kathua was the chief guest while Santosh Kohli, principal of the school presided over the function. Welcome salute by the NCC contingent was also presented by the cadets. The function began with welcome address by the principal who while lauding the efforts of Rajinder Singh Bubby said that he being himself a sportsperson of repute not only participated in the event but also play a keen role in encouraging the sports among the young lad of Distt.
He also supported this institution by providing both moral as well as instruction all support to the students and as a result many students of this institution have achieved laurels to the school.
While speaking on the occasion Rajinder Singh Bubby said that he always aims at bringing the physical and moral upliftment of the youth and by taking parts in sporting events children can be depressurized from various stresses and this could lead to a better future for them.
He also lauded the team spirit of the students and called for providing better infrastructural facilities to the students. He announced construction of sanitary block for the use of the students and staff of school. The chief guest was then introduced to
the players by the captains of both the team and final toss was held by the chief guest. The team of Ganga House won the match by 10 scores. The merit certificates were then presented to the both the winner as well as runner up team. A momento was also presented to the chief guest by the principal. The programme was compeered by Pawan
Vivek, NSS Programme officer Kuldeep Singh and Sukh Ram from distt sports officer Kathua were the technical experts and referee for the event.
The event was officiated by technical team headed by Shobha Billawria and consisting of Veena Devi and Jatinder Kumar.NCC cadets under the command of. Ravinder Sumbria.
