| Div Com for speedy works on major projects | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, OCTOBER 19: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr. Pawan Kotwal today convened a high level meeting of government functionaries to review the progress of work on major projects in Jammu city.
Threadbare discussion was held regarding the construction of Ropeway Project from Bahu fort to Mahamaya to Mubarak Mandi, expansion of Jammu Airport, construction of idle parking at Khanpur Nagrota, construction of fourth Tawi Bridge, construction of Artificial Lake in Tawi River and construction of Golf course Tourist Sidhra projects.
Divisional Commissioner directed the concerned authorities to expedite the preliminary paper and ground works to ensure start of the main projects at the earliest. He asked for taking up of land acquisition cases at war footing, besides expediting of the procedure for seeking NOC wherever required for the construction of Ropeway Project from Mubarak Mandi to Bahu Fort and complete the same by the end of this month.
Earlier, Divisional Commissioner also convened a Divisional Level Co-ordination Committee meeting constituted for the implementation of various projects under JNURM. He reviews the pace of progress on left over parts of the city and the restoration of the roads and lanes
