Revolver, rounds recovered from toilet at Batote | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 19: A .32 bore revolver and its six rounds were recovered by cops of 84 Bn of CRPF from a roadside toilet close to Maggu nullah at Batote this morning. Police sources said the CRPF cops found the revolver and its rounds during routine patrolling in the area at about 9 am. The weapon was later handed over by them to the Batote police station. When contacted, Batote police station SHO, Inspector Gulam Nabi Mir said during preliminary investigation, it was found that the revolver and its rounds belonged to one Manohar Singh, a contractor. It was a licenced weapon as Manohar had later approached police for its release, he added. The SHO, however, said the weapon would be returned to the contractor only after proper verification. |
