Three arrested with Rs 15 lakh, stolen jewellry | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 20: Jammu police today arrested three people and recovered cash of Rupees 15 lakh and a stolen jewellry from them here in the city. ''On a complaint lodged by the owners of a jewellry shop regarding theft, a police team was constituted and raids were conducted at certain places on specific information,'' Randeep Kumar, Superintendent of Police (SP) North told reporters at a press conference here this morning. Kumar said two people were arrested and the stolen jewellry comprising 73 rings and 280 grams of gold worth Rs 5.50 lakh was recovered from their possession. The accused were identified as Neeraj Chandel, resident of Chowk Chabutra and Sandeep Anand alias Sunny. A case has been registered against them and investigations are in progress. Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a youth was arrested along with Rs 15 lakh near Manda in city outskirts.
