JAMMU, Oct 20: Suman Gupta, nationally and internationally reputed artist belonging to J&K State, has been invited to participate in an exhibition of paintings of contemporary artists from India working in different medium and styles.
The exhibition is being organised by the, Ray Art gallery at the Visual Art gallery at India Habitat Centre New Delhi from October 24 to November 1 .
Ray art gallery is a contemporary art gallery committed with the objective of spreading art and supporting the artistic fraternity, creating a greater awareness and understanding of contemporary Indian art, the gallery houses one of the largest and most comprehensive collections of works by the fabled masters, senior and emerging artists of India.
Suman Gupta will be showing two of his recently done works titled, ”Contempolation”,and,”Raffeek’ s Son,” both tempera on paper. A number of well known Indian artists have been invited to participate in this exhibition.
Some of the leading participating artists in the exhibition are Jogen Chowdhury, Partho Bhattacharya, Ajay De,Sameer Mondal, Suman Gupta,Laxman Aelay, ,Niren sengupta, Jagdish Dey, Siddarth, Sudip Roy , Asit Patnaik, Kurva, Beiru Raghuram, Seema Kholi, T .Vaikuantam.
The same show will be followed by a travel show in prominent cities like Mumbai, Bangalore in India and overseas.
