Nomination of interlocutors a futile exercise: SP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 20: Samajwadi Party (SP), president, Sheikh Abdul Rehman said that nomination of three interlocutors on Jammu and Kashmir was a casual attempt on the part of Central government . Addressing media persons here today, Sheikh Abdul Rehman said, “three interlocutors are prudent and eminent in their field but carrying no weight politically and have no knowledge of pulse of different regions, sub regions and ethnical faith and other inherent parameters”. “Its nothing but a futile exercise”, he added. Commenting over CM Omar Abdullahs’s remarks on accession of J&K with India, Rehman said, while signing the Instrument of Accession with India in terms of clauses 7 & 8 of said instrument the Maharaja reserved a right not to commit himself to accept constitution of India in toto and his sovereignty would continue as provided under the instrument. He added that the state retained its district identity as a separate entity, with a separate constitution and flag. ‘But as per Article 1 of constitution of India and section 3 of constitution of J&K, the state of J&K is a constituent of unit of India and in any case the relationship of Kashmir with India is indestructible’, he mentioned.
