JAMMU, Oct 20: Government MAM College lifted the overall trophy in the inter-college judo competitions winning highest six medals, including three gold in eight different weight categories decided today at Gymnasium Hall of the University of Jammu, here.
Second place went to RK College with two gold and one bronze medal. Director Distance Education, JU, Dr Meenakshi Kilam was chief guest in today’s judo meet. She was introduced with the judokas contesting in the opening bout. Director Sports and Physical Education, JU Prof Dhian Singh Bhau was among others present in the day-long competition.
The Detailed Results: 56 kg: Aman Gupta, MAM, Ist; Rohit Kumar, Udhampur College, 2nd; Mohd Latif, Science College and Raj Singh, R K College, joint third. 60 kg: Vivek Sharma, RK College, Ist; Prince Choudhary, SPMR College of Commerce, 2nd; Sanjeev Sharma, GGM Science College and Kuldeep Singh, Dogra Law College, joint third. 66 kg: Sahil Sharma, Commerce College, Ist; Amandeep Singh, PG, 2nd; Nitish Kumar, Kathua College and Sushil Nargotra, Trikuta Degree College, joint third. 73 kg: Daler Singh, MAM, Ist; Vivek Singh, Science College, 2nd; Sunil Singh, Commerce College and Akram Ali, Trikuta College, joint third. 81 kg: Gagandeep Singh, Science College, Ist; Satvinder Singh, PG, 2nd and Paramveer Singh, MAM College, third. 90 kg: Raksh Vardan, Kathua College, Ist; Satwinder Singh, MAM, 2nd; Pankaj Kumar, PG and Ishat Gupta, Trikuta College, joint third. 100 kg: Simranjeet Singh, MAM, Ist; Kapil Gupta, Dogra Law College, 2nd and Amin Jasrotia, Kathua College, third.
