Sheikh family habitual of raking up divisive issues: BJP | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 20: Whenever any member of the Sheikh dynasty feels isolated and weak, controversial statements are made to divert the attention of the masses from issues of mis-governance, inefficiency and lack of development in Jammu and Kashmir. This was stated by District President of BJP Rajesh Gupta while addressing a press conference along with District Vice-President Vikram Randhawa here today. He added that state of Jammu and Kashmir has been ruled for maximum period by the dynastic of Sheikh Abdullah and it has become a routine matter that whenever Dr. Farooq Abdullah or his son Omar Abdullah feel that they have failed to come up to the expectations of the masses, they rake-up divisive issues. Gupta said that more unfortunate is the endorsement of the Omar’s statement by Union Home Minister and Foreign Minister. He announced that the party has decided to reach out to the masses by organizing programmes at different levels in Jammu district to generate public opinion against Omar Abdullah who has lost right to govern the state. Giving details of the programmes, Rajesh Gupta said that it was on October 26, 1947, that the Indian tricolor was first hoisted in the state and the district unit of BJP will organize flag hoisting programmes in at least 40 places across Jammu city. .
