| Homage paid to CRPF martyrs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Oct 21: An impressive function was organized in District Police Line (DPL) Kathua to pay homage to the officials who sacrificed their lives while fighting militancy in Jammu and Kashmir.
The day is commemorated to pay tribute to CRPF personnel who laid down their lives at the Indo- Chinese Border at hot spring in Ladakh on October 21, 1959. On the occasion, incharge SP(Kathua) Anil Mangotra paid floral tributes to the martyrs and read out names of 793 martyrs. The families of martyrs from all over the district attended the function.
Function was also attended by Principal PTS Ashok Kumar DYSP Randhip Singh, DYSP Hqrs Kathua Arun Gupta, SDPO Border Sukhdev Bhasin, DYSP Dar kathua Rohit Basotra, President of Ex-police association Sardar Khan and prominent citizens of kathua.
