Sikh intellectual condemns cowardly act of Badal
10/31/2006 10:10:23 AM

JAMMU | OCT 30
The sikh intellectual circle of J&K has expressed its anguish over dastardly and cowardly act, masterminded by Parakash Singh Badal through his paid criminal goons on the eve of 500th birth anniversary of Baba Budah, Ji at Kathunangal Distt. Amritsar on October 25.
According to press release Baba Budah Ji belongs not only to Parkash Singh Badal and cottery, but to the entire Sikh nation. By his act Basal has crossed all levels of goondaism in order to recapture the political power and perpetuate dynastic rule in Punjab keeping at bay all the glorious traditions of the sikh attained through unparallel sacrifices. He has defeated the entire purpose for which the Gurudwara Sudhar Lehar was started which culminated in the shape of passage of Gurudwara Act in 1920 by the then British regime. It is now crystal clear the sikh masses, that Badal misuse the Gurudwara funds and Jathedar Shri Akal Takht Sahib for his personal motives in collaboration with SGPC chief Avtar Singh Makkar.
Release further said that since no sikh can be barred for attending the religious function, so is the case with sikh leader , sardar Simranjit Singh Mann, a symbol of sacrifices. The sikh intellectual circle appeals to the saner section of the community to frustrate the evil designs of Badal reject him in the coming busting and save sikh panth from total extinction. Badal overtly and covertly collaborated with the then Indira regime in waging war against the Sikhs through “operation blue star”.
Badal has built vast personal empire at he cost of sikh’s sacrifices and interests. A appeal to the sikh masses to support S. Simranjit Singh Mann religiously, socially and politically for preservation of the sikh traditions and heritage.
