Ganie suggest CM not to treat educated unemployed youth as beggars

RAJOURI, Oct 21: Peoples Democratic Party has said that Jammu & Kashmir state will soon overtake Bihar in regard of corruption by assuming number one position in India as government has allegedly failed to curb this menace from the government offices.
Following meeting with Party President Mehbooba Mufti, State Secretary of PDP Youth and Incharge Rajouri Poonch wing Shamim Ganie has alleged that corruption is going on from the offices of ministers to the offices of Patwari in the state and government has completely failed to nab the corrupt officials. He said that Jammu & Kashmir is heeding towards number one position in corruption list and it will soon overtake Bihar. “We are heeding towards achieving corrupt number 1 state in India as it is going on rampantly in the offices”, Ganie said adding that every office has become den of corruption for the last few years.
Talking a dig at state government, Ganie said that state youth had pined hope on young Chief Minister Omar Abdullah but they have turned dejected to face tough time of corruption. “Youth are not getting jobs without political influence and common unemployed youth are being crushed”, he added appealing probe in the selection list of Sub Inspectors. “Our youth who had qualified ground and interview have been ignored and influential candidates have managed selection in the list”, he alleged adding that youth are annoyed with the attitude of government.
Targeting employment policy of the state, PDP leader said that although Chief Minister had announced some employment scheme, the same has no response in any corner of the state. “Sher-I-Kashmir employment Generation programme is nothing but a joke with those having degrees in hands”, Ganie said adding that it is human rights violation that government is going to give Rs 500 or 1500 to an educated youth having qualification of Masters Degree. “Our educated youth are not beggars and even beggars are earning more than Rs 1500 per month”, he said requesting Chief Minister not to treat unemployed youth as beggars.
Ganie said that during his meeting with Mehbooba Mufti at her Srinagar residence, he apprised him about the scenario of Rajouri and Poonch and appealed her to press for special employment package for the youth of the state. “I request my President to talk to Prime Minister regarding special employment package for the educated youth”, he said adding that youth have no work in hands and they might fall pray in the hands of anti-national elements. “Government should awake from deep slumber and engage unemployed youth in the jobs”.
