| Gujjars appeal interlocutors to address their plight | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Oct 21: Welcoming appointment of interlocutors for finding a political solution of Jammu and Kashmir issue by Home Minister P.Chidambram, Akhil Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasaba (ABGM) today appealed Interlocutors to personally visit remote Gujjar areas of state to see suffering tribals and reflect the hardships of Gujjar community in their report.
Addressing a meeting of Gujjar-Bakarwal Community at Harwan Dara, State President of Akhil Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasaba Eshfaq-ur-Rehman Poswal appealed interlocutors to accommodate Gujjar point of view while compiling report on Kashmir. He said that tribal Gujjars are facing a number of hardships and needs special attention from the union government.
He also welcomed announcement that middle pass will be recruited in Police. Poswal said that Gujjar candidates of remote areas be given preference in this recruitment process. He said that Mahasaba will co-operate with the interlocutors. Other who spoke included Nizam ud Din Banya, Fazal Din Badhana, Qayoom Ganderbali, Hameed Kassana, Fazal Gorsi, Mohammad Asalam, Molvi Ghulam Mohammad, Abdul Rehman and Abdul Kareem.
