Selection of 35 Munsiffs Challenged | HC summoned record of Selection | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 22: The High Court today sought record of selection of 35 Munsiffs from Jammu Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) after admitting the petition filed by 39 petitioners. Justice Sunil Hali heard the petitioners at length and issued notices to State of J&K through Secreatry Law Dept, J&K Public Service Commission through its Secretary and Chairman. Advocate FA Natnoo accepted notice on behalf of PSC. He shall file objection by or before November 3, 2010. Court after hearing Advocate Sunil Sethi assisted by Advocate Ravi Dogra appearing for the petitioner, directed Advocate FA Natnoo to keep the record available on that date. The petitioners are presently practsing lawyers in the Subordinate Court and High Court had challenged the selection on the base of advertisement notice issued by the PSC on October 24, 2008 for the posts of KCS (Judicial), seeking quashment of the select list on the basis of said advertisement notice and also seeking direction to the respondents to hold the selection a fresh strictly in accordance with the provisions of law and in totally fair and transparent manner and also seeking directions to the respondents not to issue any appointment orders in favour of the selectees whose roll No have been declared vide notice September 14, 2010 and published in a local newspapers.
